  •   Thoroughly recommended. Spacious and light filled room with walk in wardrobe. Separated large bathroom with lots of light - great shower and cast iron bath. Very good breakfast (expertly made poached eggs). Very helpful advice provided on walks and places to eat and drink.

  •   Five star stay and excellent hospitality at the Red Cottage. We would definitely stay there again and really appreciated
the additional luxurious touches like the prosecco on arrival and robes. Delicious breakfast too, would highly recommend!

  •   Our stay at Red Cottage was simply perfect. The room was more of a suite than a bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe (which housed a small fridge), large bedroom with seating area and a large bathroom with both a roll-top bath and the best shower ever! Gill and Brian were impeccable hosts, letting us leave our bags on the last day to pick-up before our train which meant we could still have a proper day of exploring the area. The freshly cooked breakfasts were delicious. The house is also conveniently located a stone's throw away from the town so easy to access for lunch/dinner and for public transport to other nearby areas. We couldn't fault our stay and will be back again.

  •   Gill and The Red House are fantastic. The room is a delight, spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom is very well appointed. Having the fridge in the little anti room is a bonus. The breakfast was delicious and well cooked. The off road parking was also an added bonus.
Gill as a host was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable. The map of Rye she gave us was a godsend listing the local eating places (booking early is a must for a lot of them). It is a short walk to the pretty town.

We would highly recommend Gill and The Red House

  •   Wonderful stay in a large lovely suite. Love the location, close to the train station and town of Rye, but on edges of country, very quiet. I wish I had booked an extra night.

  •   We had a lovely stay at Gill’s place in Rye. The BnB is located a short walking distance from Rye’s town centre and is on a quiet street. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious with a range of options and Gill was very accommodating. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Rye!
